The Mind-Body Connection and Cancer

What do you get cancer Mean?
The term cancer is used to describe a situation in which the disturbance in the life cycle of cells of the human body has occurred. Whereas, normal cells are born, live their purpose, and die, or go through apoptosis, cancer cells tend to live. What's worse, they begin to multiply. They will form tumors that can interfere with the body's vital organs and rob nutrients from the surrounding healthy cells which, in turn, lead to depletion of the host.

There are currently two views on the cause of this disease. The conventional or orthodox medicine sees disease as a chance occurrence that is caused by genetic mutations. Non-traditional or unorthodox medicine, on the other hand, sees cancer as a result of metabolic imbalances as a consequence of lifestyle choices. Therefore, there are two existing approaches to a cure for cancer: Orthodox practitioners will focus primarily on killing the cancer cells, a non-traditional medicine focuses on the restoration of the patient inside a biological environment, changes which are believed to cause trouble.

of conventional cancer treatments including radiation therapy, chemotherapy, surgery, et cetera. The second approach, on the other hand, includes such treatments as the dietary and lifestyle changes, psychological and nutritional supplementation programs.

Using conventional cancer treatment is also called the conduct of the war on cancer from all the goal to kill cancer cells or to tame them into remission. Although the approach has its critics, most doctors agree that it is useful in cases where the cancer is growing rapidly in cases of diffuse blood cancer.

Non-traditional doctors see cancer as a systemic disease, the name for a variety of diseases that have a common feature of uncontrolled cell proliferation. They point out that because of that, the only treatment programs that deal with "whole body" will lead to long-term treatment.
people first diagnosed with cancer, will probably be recommended by your doctor with conventional orthodox treatments. Always remember, though, that is only available course of action. It might not even be the best option available there.

What to do when you are diagnosed with cancer?
The first thing to do is not to panic. Cancer is not a death sentence. People are healed of cancer. Even if the oncologist says that the worst that could happen, he was just making an educated guess based on current data and conventional treatment methodologies.

First, you need to know the following: type of cancer you have, the stage is, if the cancer has metastasized, available treatments and their success rate, alternative treatments and dietary, lifestyle and psychological changes that are willing to do.

get treatment program that addresses their needs, and get the right health care practitioner to implement the treatment program.

the next thing to do is get as much additional information as you can from reading a book or go to the Internet. It is best not to rely solely on information from your doctor.

the following books offer an alternative view on cancer: China Study T. Colin Campbell, the full menu is Rak Rolf Gordon, cancer treatment and Enrida Simon Kelly Kelly, cancer is a disease Andreas Mortiz, alternative therapies in cancer: A Complete Guide for the nontraditional Treatments by Ross Pelton and Lee Overholser, anti-tumor: a new way of life, David Servan-Schreiber, Winning the War on Cancer Mark Sircus, and everything you need to know to help you Beat Cancer Chris Woolams.

Be sure to exercise some caution when obtaining information from the Internet by visiting the newly founded site. It is better to avoid sites that advertise a quick cure. Because cancer does not happen overnight, it's a good bet that the drug will not happen immediately.

The third step is to decide on a course of action. There are four options:

Choose to conventional treatments only. opportunity to be generally preferred by individuals who wish to leave the health issues of their health workers.

Choose a combination of orthodox and unorthodox treatments. For individuals who want the best of both worlds. They can also have a very aggressive type of cancer that requires rapid decrease in the number of cancer cells as an initial step.

only opt for alternative treatments. These are individuals who have done research on the success rates of conventional treatments, were not satisfied with the statistics, and decided to take their chances using alternative approaches.

Opt for no treatment at all. This option is generally for individuals who are in complete denial, the type of cancer that develops very slowly, a cancer that can not be treated with any available funds at present, or are too old or weak to go through the rigors of treatment.

the possibility that it will ultimately be chosen will depend on the individual's current situation, his temperament, belief systems, and existing social support structures.

It is also important to bear in mind that cancer is not a matter of more treatment, the better. For example, going for a combination of orthodox and unorthodox treatments will mean doing chemo or radiotherapy treatments that are known to contribute to patient deaths.

subsequent posts will try to examine how healing the mind and body can help cancer patients.
